Meet The Team: Marco Zampieri, Owner & Vice President of Huff Energy Solutions

At the forefront of this mission is Marco Zampieri, the Vice President and Owner of the company. With a background in real estate and extensive experience in the pre-engineered steel buildings industry, Zampieri brings a unique perspective to his work at Huff Energy Solutions. In this Q&A, he shares his insights on the energy industry, his experiences at Huff, and his personal interests and inspirations.

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Italy and I moved to the United States in 2015.

What did you do before working at Huff Construction/Huff Energy Solutions?

Before moving to the United States, my background was in real estate. After moving to the States, I worked as Senior Estimator for Nucor.

What makes you excited to go to work in the morning?

When you love what you do it is always exciting going to work… Not all days are great, but excitement is contagious, and it helps turn a bad day into a good one.

What’s your favorite part about working at Huff?

Working at Huff is dynamic and never boring. Our office is fun and my colleagues are like family.

What inspired you to start Huff Energy Solutions, and what was the biggest challenge you faced when starting your company?

Starting Huff Energy Solutions was more of an opportunity rather than an inspiration. It was one of those situations where I was relentless in striving for my best and it got me in the right spot at the right time. The inspiration now comes every day to grow the company.  

How do your background and experiences shape the way you approach energy solutions and what unique perspectives do you bring to your work?

Working at Nucor for 7 years gave me a broad understanding of the pre-engineered steel buildings industry. Today, with Huff Energy Solutions, we apply those understandings with a modern approach to give our customers solutions that fit their needs and that are financially advantageous thanks to the production of green renewable energy and tax incentives.  

How do you see the energy industry evolving in the next few years and what role do you envision for Huff Energy Solutions in the industry?

I think the energy industry will continue to shift towards renewable sources, as concerns about climate change, sustainability, and national security grow. As utility rates continue to rise, it’s making more financial sense to install sources of renewable energy as well. Huff Energy Solution has the task and honor to deliver reasonable and superior renewable energy solutions for our customers.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, spending time with my family and friends, and golfing a little more.

Who or what inspires you?

Faith and Honesty.

Where is your favorite place to eat?

I don’t know if I have a favorite place to eat, but I love food so I am pretty open to anything… Well, maybe not “Italian” places.

Where is your favorite place to travel to?

My favorite place to travel is Hawaii all the way.
